Hawks' Thabo Sefolosha, Pero Antic due in NYC court in nightclub arrest case

Hawks players Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha are due Tuesday morning in New York City Criminal Court for a hearing that is the next step before a trial date is set in the case stemming from their April arrests outside a Manhattan nightclub, .

outside 1 Oak in Chelsea, Sefolosha sustained that led to season-ending surgery. He says the injuries were caused by police.

Both players are charged with misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration. Antic also is charged with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of second-degree harassment. Sefolosha also is charged with one count of resisting arrest and one count of disorderly conduct.

They have maintained their innocence and have declined further comment beyond an initial joint statement and the week after the incident.

Attorney Alex Spiro, who represents both players, declined comment on Tuesday to the Journal Constitution.

The incident happened about 4 a.m. on April 8 outside 1 Oak. Several were obtained and posted by TMZ Sports. Both Antic and Sefolosha have said the videos speak for themselves in declaring their innocence.
