Kevin Garnett is calling it quits, which means everyone is sharing their favorite Kevin Garnett stories. We all know Garnett was ruthless in his trash talk — he once called Charlie Villanueva a "cancer patient" — so it's always interesting to hear about his interactions with players.
When Isaiah Thomas was asked to tell a fun Garnett story on the "Toucher & Rich" radio show, he recalled his first interaction with the veteran.
"We were playing against Boston in Sacramento, the first time I played the Celtics," Thomas said. "He set an illegal screen, you know his screens were very illegal. And I yelled, 'Stop setting them illegal screens!' He's like, 'Shut your little midget ass up!' Ever since then he's been calling me 'little midget', but with other different words."
Thomas, who is 5-foot-9, didn't let the trash talk affect how he viewed Garnett. He said he loved KG's competitiveness, and it's something he always aspired to.
