Bulls forward Pau Gasol’s status for Sunday’s playoff game against the Cavaliers is uncertain after he suffered a strained left hamstring in Friday night’s game.
Gasol left the game in the third quarter. to take a 2-1 series lead. He said he initially felt the hamstring tighten in the first quarter, but tried to play through it. In nine playoff games this season, Gasol is averaging 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
The Tribune reported Gasol would undergo tests on the hamstring Saturday, and he is unsure if he will be able to play Sunday.
“I’m just hoping that it's not a bad tear or anything like that,” he said. “Hamstrings are tricky and dangerous. Just hoping for the best and trying to stay positive.”
