Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been named the NBA's Most Valuable Player for 2014-15.

The 27-year-old US international set a record for three-pointers made in a season - the 286 he scored breaking his own 2012-13 record.

Curry was the top points scorer, made most assists and steals, and also led the stats for free-throw percentage.

The Warriors won the Pacific Division and lead Memphis Grizzlies 1-0 in the play-offs.

Curry beat Houston Rockets' James Harden, Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James, Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook and New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis to the award.
