Pistons still holding down the fort with Reggie Jackson on the mend

No Reggie Jackson, no Andre Drummond, no problem for the Pistons.

Despite missing arguably their two best players, the Pistons trounced the Thunder 104-88 Monday night thanks to Tobias Harris' 22 points and six rebounds and Aron Baynes' 20 points and eight rebounds.

Baynes earned the start with Drummond out due to a sprained ankle. He went up against Steven Adams and dominated the paint on both ends of the floor.

Jackson, the team's starting point guard and leader, has been out all season after receiving plasma injections in his knee and thumb. He is expected back at the end of the month and could vault this team into the upper echelon of Eastern Conference contenders.

The Pistons (6-5) improved to 5-0 at The Palace. They remain the only NBA team undefeated at home this season.

Russell Westbrook scored 33 points with 15 rebounds and eight assists, but his teammates were non-existent in this contest. Westbrook now has at least a double-double in eight games this season.

Anthony Davis helped the Pelicans (2-9) squeak out a 106-105 win against the Celtics (5-5) by pouring in 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Davis now has six double-doubles this season, and has recorded at least 20 points and seven rebounds in 11 of his 12 games.

Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas scored 37 points with seven assists, becoming just the third Celtics player to score at least 20 points in each of the team's first 10 games. There have been some trade rumors speculating Boston as a possible destination for Davis. We're sure Thomas would be pleased.

Lastly, James Harden probably could have scored 70 points tonight, but the Rockets didn't need him to do much after netting 23 points in the first quarter of Houston's 115-88 win over the 76ers. Harden finished with 33 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

The Magic hit rock bottom by failing to reach 70 points in an ugly 88-69 loss to the Pacers. Where to start? The Magic have been offensively challenged all season, exemplified by Evan Fournier leading the team with just 14 points Monday. Orlando had almost as many rebounds (52) as it did points. Can someone explain why they traded Victor Oladipo?
