LeBron James is a man on a mission.
For the fourth season, the Cavaliers superstar is shutting himself off from the outside world by turning off his phone and blocking out social media for the duration of the playoffs.
It's something James started doing in 2012 after his Heat lost to the Mavericks in six games in the NBA Finals.
"I don't have no phones, no social media, I don't have anything," . "I don't care about nonsense. There's too much nonsense out there. Not during this time, this is when I lock in right now and I don't need nothing creeping into my mind that don't need to be there.
James teased his social media shutdown before the playoffs began with a blacked out photo on Instagram, captioned "Zero dark thirty-23 activated #StriveForGreatness."
The only people who will be communicating with James until the playoffs are over are his friends and family. The rest of the world can wait.
