Josh Smith and Dwight Howard brought Phi Slamma Jamma back to life in Houston, at least for one night.
The two former AAU teammates did their best Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon impressions as they put on an aerial show in the Rockets' 111-99 win over the Mavericks on Tuesday night.
Howard was a force in the paint, scoring 28 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to go along with a pair of blocks, while Smith put on an all-around clinic with 15 points, nine assists and plenty of dunks as the Rockets took a 2-0 lead over the Mavericks.
This guy just got his whole life from this Josh Smith dunk.

The run was keyed by John Wall, who had nine points and five assists during the stretch, which effectively put the game out of reach for Toronto. Like the Celtics-Cavs game, this was a real contest at the beginning of the fourth quarter, as Dallas actually led 84-81 at one point. Then Smith and Howard took over. MVP candidate James Harden had a relatively quiet night by his standards, scoring 24 points (all in the first half) and adding six assists.
