James Harden is playing like an MVP when the Rockets most need him to do so.
The star guard carried Houston to a 130-128 victory in Dallas on Friday, giving the Rockets a 3-0 lead over the Mavericks in their first-round NBA playoff series. Harden finished with 42 points, nine assists and five rebounds on efficient 15-for-24 shooting from the field.

Although the Mavericks had no answer for the bearded wonder all night, he saved his best for last. With the Rockets holding a one-point lead in the weaning seconds, Harden took advantage of a mismatch by nailing a step-back jump shot over Tyson Chandler. It wasn't perfect, but Harden got the shooter's roll.
