Leicester Riders and Worcester Wolves boosted their faint BBL Championship title hopes with wins over the weekend.

Riders won all three of their games, edging fellow BBL play-off contenders and before inflicting an 11th straight defeat on

Wolves beat league leaders Newcastle Eagles for a third time this term.

Eagles require just two victories from their remaining four games to clinch the title.

They are currently eight points ahead of Wolves and Riders, although Riders have two games in hand.

"Nothing is over until it's over, the coach has been telling us that a lot, but at the same time we can't control that," said Riders guard Tyler Bernardini.

"All we can control is what we do and, for us, we know that it is coming to the end of the season, we have had a great run and we just want to keep it rolling."

Wolves are the only team to have beaten Eagles this term and completed a regular-season sweep with a dramatic 88-81 triumph on Friday, thanks to 25 points from Alex Owumi.
