For once, it wasn't Stephen Curry taking the winning shot attempt. But, in true Warriors fashion this season, the end result was the same.
Harrison Barnes hit a running shot in the lane with less than a second remaining to lift the Warriors to a 107-106 victory over the Suns on Thursday. The win was the 11th straight for the Warriors (62-13).
With Curry and Klay Thompson covered pretty well, Barnes took an inbounds pass from Andre Iguodala, took two dribbles against the defense of the Suns' Archie Goodwin and put up a shot that eventually bounced in. The Suns quickly inbounded the ball but their last-gasp shot was no good.
The crowd, obviously, went wild with approval.
The Suns had taken the lead on a reverse layup by Eric Bledsoe with 4.5 seconds left. Before that, Curry hit a 3-pointer that gave the Warriors the lead.
Curry finished with 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Thompson had 16 points. Barnes had just four points.
