With his team a half-game behind the Nets for the No. 8 seed in the NBA's Eastern Conference, Kelly Olynyk is suiting up for the Celtics despite suffering a gruesome a left eye injury.
During shootaround prior to Boston's game against the Pacers, Olynyk took an elbow to the face from reserve Shavlik Randolph.
“Kelly was playing his typical, one-on-one pregame with Shavlik (Randolph) and got elbowed in the eye,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said . “His eye blew up and so he went to the ophthalmologist to get sutured up and hopefully get some swelling down."
Despite the injury, Olynyk checked in at the 1:56 mark of the first quarter in crucial game for both teams.
When shoot-arounds go wrong... this happened to before tonight's game.
